Why Linen Duet
LinenDuet is an online linen store run by two sisters who have teamed up to bring you beautiful, ethically made home goods and clothing.
Since childhood, we’ve shared a passion for crafting, designing, and creating things with our hands. Together we have more than 20 years of experience sewing and have both completed professional tailoring and sewing courses. Our shop, LinenDuet, provides us with the unique opportunity to bring our many design ideas to life. The products in our shop combine linen fabric, lace, and embroidery in a variety of colors. Each item is ethically handmade and thoughtfully created with love and care. We’re so thrilled to be able to share our passion for craftsmanship with you!
All the items in our linen store are handmade by the members of our shop. Each step is managed with a relentless attention to detail at every stage of production – from selecting and cutting the fabric to packing, ensuring that every item meets our high quality standards.

Why linen

We love working with linen fabric because of its versatility and unique characteristics. One of the most interesting facts about linen is that the more you use and wash it, the softer and more comfortable the fabric becomes. Perhaps surprisingly, linen’s tensile strength is twice as high as that of cotton and 3 times higher than wool. Linen also reduces gamma radiation by almost half, and it protects the body from solar radiation.
Another impressive fact about linen fabric doesn’t accumulate static electricity. It’s amazing but true that even 10% linen in a fabric blend is enough to eliminate the effect of static electricity! Linen wicks away moisture and repels stains, making it an excellent fabric for tablecloths, bedding, clothing, and so much more.
Linen is the ideal “green” fabric. The flax plant from which it’s derived enriches the soil and every part of the plant is used. Linen is also biodegradable, giving it an ecological advantage over man-made fibers. Some people also claim that linen is ideal for people with allergies or eczema because it’s resistant to fungus and bacteria. Clearly, linen fabric is meant to surround us in our everyday lives and to be used for sewing items that we need and use all of the time, like bedding and clothing.
Thank you for your interest in our online linen store. We sincerely hope that you’ll enjoy our selection of ethically made home goods and clothing.
